Mousesweet Ducks

 

Recently, a ‘GO WILD’ event was held at Mousesweet Brook, New Pool Road, Cradley Heath West Midlands B64 5BX.  This event was supported by the BBC Breathing Places.  The event was full of nature activities and countryside crafts for all the family.

 

As part of the event a new sculpture by local artist Tim Tolkien (great-nephew of J R Tolkien) was revealed.

 

As a local company Bradney Chain had been approached to donate materials for its construction.  Chain was supplied and the finished sculpture shows how the chain was used to give texture to the body and wings of the ducks.

 

 The Ducks are now a permanent part of the Mousesweet Brook Nature Reserve.
