Prices
Price lists on this website cover just a few of our more popular standard items. They are valid at the date of issue and are subject to change without notice. Each price list states whether prices are inclusive of carriage or ex works.
Most of our products are heavy and consequently carriage costs are very variable dependent on volume and destinations. To give you the best possible prices we prefer to quote carriage as a separate item. Send us an enquiry and we will quote the extra for carriage costs by return. You can, of course, arrange collection if you prefer.
Ex works prices are valid for single orders of £200 value and over. Regrettably it is necessary to charge orders below £200 at somewhat higher prices. Please contact us for prices for small orders. Single orders over £500 value are subject to discounts as below.
Discounts (not applicable to products purchased through our online shop)
- Single orders over £500 list price value ex works, excluding VAT: Ð LESS 5%
- Single orders over £1000 list price value ex works, excluding VAT: Ð LESS 10%
- Single orders over £2000 list price value ex works, excluding VAT: Ð LESS 15%
- Single orders over £5000 list price value ex works, excluding VAT: Ð LESS 20%
Bulk packs
Chain is available in bulk packs where indicated in the price lists. Our bulk pack is a package of chain, usually between 750kg. and 1000kg. in weight, giving significant savings for customers who wish to measure and cut themselves. Bulk packs in any quantity are charged at list prices less 20%.
Volume purchases
If you purchase large volumes please talk to us. We will always try to improve prices for the bigger buyer.
Finishing processes
Our products are frequently subjected to one or more extra processes to change their characteristics. They may be heat treated (including surface hardening for wear resistance) and they may be given a variety of surface finishes. These include polishing, plating, hot dip galvanising, sherardising, blacking, powder coating and painting.
Some surface finishes, particularly hot dip galvanising, leave a significantly thick coating on a product. This has the effect of shortening chain. Such a coating is generally quite soft and in use the chain soon returns to its original length. We do not allow for this shortening unless specifically asked to do so. For example, we would usually supply 100 metres of chain, galvanised (which could then measure as little as 98 metres), not 100 metres of galvanised chain.
Disclaimer
Most of our products are supplied tensile tested before despatch. We cannot accept rejection of items that have been subsequently subjected to any other form of testing unless by prior written agreement. It may be intended to carry out further processes after receipt of the products, or to use them in aggressive conditions (e.g. acidic) or in extremes of temperature. Unless we are advised of such intentions at the time of an order we cannot accept responsibility for any associated problems.
